SECTOR 22757 — The USS S’harien, a Vulcan-crewed Starfleet vessel, has located an abandoned freighter of apparent Andorian design adrift in Sector 22757, Starfleet Command confirmed.

The vessel, discovered with no life signs aboard and non-functional systems, is believed to have been deserted for an extended period, though the circumstances remain unknown.

“Our analysis indicates the freighter has been adrift for an indeterminate length of time,” said Capt. T’li, commanding officer of the S’harien. “Until a thorough investigation is completed, speculation regarding the fate of its crew would be illogical.”

The S’harien—named for a legendary Vulcan weaponsmith—is one of Starfleet’s Vulcan-designated science cruisers, known for their distinctive swept-forward warp nacelles and advanced sensor arrays. The ship’s crew detected the drifting freighter on long-range scans during their extended mission in the Beta Quadrant and moved swiftly to investigate.

Boarding teams found no trace of the crew or passengers, and the freighter’s logs and critical systems were non-functional, further complicating efforts to determine its last voyage.

“We are conducting a comprehensive data recovery operation,” said Cmdr. Midel, the ship’s first officer. “We have also informed the Andorian Imperial Guard of our findings, as their insight may prove valuable.”

This incident is the latest in a series of unexplained events reported throughout the Alpha and Beta Quadrants in recent months. Whether the abandoned freighter is connected to these occurrences remains unclear.
